Coach McClellan's Bio:

Coach McClellan was born and raised in Florence, Oregon where he was a 4 sport athlete.  In 1979, he went to college at PSU on a football scholarship, and then transferred to SOU after 1 year.  He is a member of the 1983 team that is in SOU’s Hall of Fame.  He graduated with a BA in education in 1985, and a Masters of Arts in 1989. He and his wife have 3 children, all graduates of Eagle Point High School, and 5 grandchildren.

Coach McClellan is currently a retired teacher from EP after 31 years of teaching mathematics.  He has extensive experience in coaching and teaching both boys and girls.  

Coach McClellan has been coaching actively since 1985.  He came to Eagle Point in 1986 and has been coaching continuously until present time.  Instead of listing all of those years, a summary would be in order:

Freshman Football: 1986-1988

Varsity Football Assistant: 1989-2002 (6-3 playoff record during those years playing at the top division of OSAA) 

Varsity Football Assistant: 2006-2012

Freshman Boys Basketball: 1997-2003

Head JV Softball: 1986-1991

Head Coach Softball: 1992-1997 (2 quarter final appearances)

Track and Field Assistant: 2002-2010

Head Coach Boys and Girls Track and Field:   2011-Present (Since 2002, there have been 57 state qualifiers, 41 state placers, 8 individual state champions, and 13 school records broken.)
